It is a very long journey of an interesting and surprising 10 months in my life, right from the day I heard the good news from my wife till her delivery..

It was not so easy as I thought, The double extra care we took every moment, vast changes in her level of patience and the changes in food habits(no junk food!) and lifestyle of my wife, reducing travels, frequent checkups, vomiting effects, sleepless nights, unimaginable sacrifices for the new life. False pains, Pre and post labor pain, Though it gives lot of pleasure, It was so hard I would say.. Hats off to my wife..!
The expectation of the new life has drastically changed my lifestyle, increased my patience level and timing as well in a most positive ways, my friends know very well why I am saying this? Which was slightly touch in the beginning for me however I got used to it so quickly..
After the countdown starts in our mind, one fine day 18th july early morning I received a call saying my wife got admitted in the hospital, I am little nervous and don't know what to pack and what not, I was staying in my friend's house at that time. Just stood and started took a bike and bag headed to tambaram railway station there isn't a train available at that time, so parked the bike and went to bus station, only one Govt bus was available with couple of passengers it would take another hour for the bus to start, so took a cab to Trichy Janet Nursing Home and reached as soon as 11 am, my parents and relatives are staring at me, and they recapped the morning happenings.
Nervous moments, me and all were waiting waiting for the news.., I wanted to meet my wife but hospital rules does not allow me to do so, I was trying and finally got an idea of contacting her over phone and gave some moral support to her. After some 10 hrs doctor said your wife and we tried our best and decided to go for C Section, and I said okay and signed the forms, she was shifted to operation theatre around 3 pm on Friday eve, as soon she enters the operation theatre I heard my wife's screaming I was guessing it was for a Spinal cord shot, me and all become so nervous and hoping for the best. After 20 mins staff nurses came out one by one and green signaled that both are safe. I could see dozens of smiles :-) on the spot in all our faces. Interesting moments there were guesses going on whether is it a girl or boy!??
The doctor came out with my pinky pinku baby girl (kutty pandu - is my baby girl's pet name it was decided on the moment of seeing her) in a small complimentary pink bed. She gave the baby to my mom with a smile.
After few mins my wife came out in a half conscious state and sent straight to the ICU for a day. I went near my wife on her way to ICU and touched her fingers and said baby is so cute.
Just after that I carried my kutty pandu and climbed the steps to reach our room #25, not sure where I got that confidence from to carry the just born but I did it!.
After seeing my kutty pandu's smile I forget all the pain and enjoyed the Eternity of my Baby's smile..!
Tons and tons of hugs to my wife and kutty pandu I'm dedicating this lively blog to them. Never then ever I was so nervous in penning this down.
